When an AFL bookmaker has no price on the board
A missing AFL market is a coverage state, not a poor quote or evidence that a match is off.
Read the empty cell literally
The official fixture can show a match while the comparison feed has no quote for one bookmaker. The market may be unquoted, suspended, outside feed coverage or temporarily unavailable. A blank cell does not mean that bookmaker offers zero, nor that the fixture has been cancelled.
Count comparable offers
A best-price label needs at least two prices on the exact same selection and line in the same source snapshot. If only Book A quotes over 171.5, its 1.91 is the sole listed offer. Book B's over 172.5 is a different bet and cannot fill the missing 171.5 cell. Show coverage counts beside the row so the reader knows the breadth of comparison.
Check the bookmaker screen
An absence on an aggregator is not proof of absence at the bookmaker. Confirm the current fixture, market and regional availability at the bookmaker before acting. If the entire feed fails, the board should show an error rather than pretend there are no AFL games.
Worked example
Illustration: over 171.5 is listed at 1.91 by Book A only; Book B lists over 172.5 at 1.96. The 171.5 row has one comparable bookmaker, so there is no cross-book best price for that row.
